Compadres - baptism

Baptism – the fact of begetting and giving birth to a child is in itself a religious experience. Parents, family and extended family which includes friends and compadres join to mark that beginning of life in a special way. Articulated motives for the baptism include a concern for the future life of the child, i.e. that he/she go to heaven and be freed from original sin.
