San lorenzo

san Lorenzo, the roman deacon and martyr of Spanish origin,
is often pictured in churches. He entered the new Mexican
history in a special way when the Spanish colonizers fled from the taos Indian rebellion of
1680, and entered safely the area of what is now el paso, texas, on
the feast of san Lorenzo on august
10. he was a saint who represented fortitude and
courage for his martyrdom on the gridiron, he was grilled to death.
